Students of Japanese Language Education Study Program at Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) again get the opportunity to take part in an internship program in Japan this year. The students are Putu Ratih Widyaningrum, Ni Luh Ayu Nirmala Santi, Ni Nyoman Yuli Sri Mayanti, and Ida Ayu Ika Dewi. The four of them will get job training in hospitality field at Okayama Hotel Vassel from August 4, 2019 to February 1, 2020. Accompanied by the coordinator of Japanese Language Education Study Program, I Wayan Sadyana, S.S., M.Sc., they met Rector of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd. (Thursday, 1/8/2019).
Mr. Sadnyana explained this morning in the meeting that the participation of students in the program is aimed to give a practical experience to apply the knowledge they have been aquired so far. One of the profiles of study programs is as Japanese language experts in the field of hospitality. This program is the form of implementation, he said. In addition to getting the training, these students also get Japanese language learning, cross-cultural understanding and make presentations in the context of personal development. It was also clarified by Mr Sadnyana that this collaboration with Vassel Hotel is as a realization of collaboration form designed by Undiksha through Kowa Copr. Japan. The students will have the opportunity not only to take part in training for six months, but also to deepen their mastery of Japanese language.
Rector of Undiksha, Prof. Jampel appreciated the participation of students in this program. He also explained that Undiksha is currently collaborating with several hotels in Japan to organize an internship program, one of which is Marriot Hotel Okinawa Japan where Undiksha students have been sent for the second batch there. For Vassel Hotel, it is the first batch made by Undiksha. More efforts need to be made to extend the international collaboration.
