Today, Monday (1st of July 2019), Undiksha structural leaders, Rector, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., accompanied by Vice Rector on Academic Affairs and Partnership, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I and Dean of Faculty of Languages and Arts, Prof. Dr. Putu Kerti Nitiasih, M.A., and Head of Office of International Affairs and Partnership, Dr. Ni Made Ratminingsih, M.A. received the guest from Education Attache of Consulate General of Indonesia in Beijing, Yaya Sutarya, M.Pd. and delegations from Jilin International Studies University (JISU), China, Dean of the Oriental Language Faculty of JISU, Prof. Wang Zhiguo accompanied by the local teacher of Indonesian language in JISU Ms Liu Yueming, M.A. JISU is interested to build collaboration with Undiksha especially in exchanging students and profesors and scholars in Indonesia language studies and Mandarin language studies. Rector of Undiksha positively welcomed the cooperation offer submitted through the Education Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing, Yaya Sutarya, M.Pd. According to him, the collaboration is one of the efforts to improve the quality of institutions, as well as support internalizationalization at home which has been announced in 2019. “Once there is an offer to establish cooperation, we immediately respond positively,” he explained. At the meeting that took place at the Rector’s Room I Ganesha I, Prof Jampel also hoped that cooperation could be carried out for other fields, such as vocational science and education which is now being encouraged by Undiksha. “We continue to open opportunities for collaboration outside Indonesian and Mandarin Language Education,” he said. This is also a way to accelerate the realization of the vision as a university of excellence based on the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana in Asia in 2045. Dean of the Oriental Language Faculty of JISU, Prof. Wang Zhiguo said that he had collaborated with ten universities abroad in Mandarin language education. The same thing is expected to be able to establish with Undiksha on an ongoing basis, even though at present there is no Mandarin Language Study Program. “Undiksha students can study Mandarin there, a month or a week. They can also learn culture. Our students can also go to Undiksha to learn Indonesian. You can also exchange lecturers, “he said. Meanwhile, the Education Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing, Yaya Sutarya, said that China experienced very rapid development, especially in the field of education. The quality of human resources has accelerated in a relatively short time. This is a very feasible basis to be invited to cooperate with, including Undiksha. “We must study with China, including in terms of business development,” he said. As Indonesia’s representative in Beijing, he said there were various things that could be cooperated in the field of education, including outside language education, such as marine and chemical. He also emphasized that the Indonesian government paid attention to it in the form of scholarships through the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education “.
