Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) is increasingly strengthening and extending cooperation with the Japanese Consulate General in Denpasar. The largest state campus in North Bali is asking for support in the effort to make internationalization at home program which is planned by the Rector of Undiksha in the 2019 successful. This was also discussed at a meeting between Undiksha Vice Rector I, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.TI. with Japanese Consulate General Mr. Hirohisa Chiba on Friday, accompanied by Head of Office of International Affairs and Partnership of Undiksha Dr. Ni Made Ratminingsih, M.A. and staff of Japanese language Education Study Program, Friday, 19th of July 2019. Mr. Hirohisa Chiba revealed that the collaboration with Undiksha in the field of education has been going on well for quite a long time. However, he hoped that it could continue to be established and the scope could be expanded. “I am very happy to be able to work with Undiksha” he said. Meanwhile, Rasben Dantes stated the cooperation with Japanese Consulate General was not new with Undiksha. There are already a number of programs implemented, especially in the field of Japanese language education. “In the near future Mr. Chiba will also be invited to give a public lecture at Japanese Language Education Study Program” he explained. He emphasizes the future cooperation will be extended with student exchange programs, visiting professors, and joint research. “We want Undiksha to be the home of international community for education. So, we want more cooperation with Japan. We hope Mr. Chiba will also help introducing Undiksha to universities in Japan” he added.
