Singaraja- A total of 14 students from Windesheim University of Applied Science, the Netherlands came to Ganesha University of Education to carry out the Community Service Cooperation Program. Their presence was received directly by the Vice Rector for Academic and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I. which was held in the Auditorium Room of the Balingkang Confucius Institute, Monday (3/3/2025).
Prof. Rasben said that this sustainable program is a collaborative program that had been established since 2007. In addition to studying BIPA at UPA Bahasa Undiksha, these fourteen students will also carry out several community service programs through collaboration with partners in Buleleng Regency. “Of course this is one of the implementations of the Sustainable Development Goals Program which is a global commitment to create a better and more sustainable world,” he said.
It was further conveyed that this Community Service program would target activities such as waste management, public health education, early childhood education, including programs in several LKSA and orphanages in Buleleng and of course would be monitored by lecturers from Undiksha.
Meanwhile, Dr. Jannie Lanse Botter, as the coordinator from Windesheim University expressed her appreciation to Undiksha who had been a good partner during the program. She greatly appreciated the presence and commitment of the partners to work together in carrying out this community service project. “We hope our program will give good experiences and insight for developing education and society for a better life,” she concluded.
