Singaraja– Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) is expanding its cooperation with foreign universities in order to make its international programs a success. The latest cooperation was established with Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC), Philippines, which was signed at the Undiksha Rectorate, Tuesday (2/14/2023).
The discussion of this cooperation was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic and Cooperation Affairs of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I. He, who represented the Rector, was accompanied by the Head of the Cooperation and Public Relations Agency, I Made Windu Antara Kesiman, Ph.D and staff. The presence of HCDC was led by the President, Br. Noelvic H. Deloria. He was accompanied by a number of related officials.
In his speech, Rasben Dantes said that Undiksha as one of the Educational Personnel Education Institutions has launched an internationalization program in 2019. Through this program, Undiksha is expected to become a home of learning for the international community. Likewise, Undiksha lecturers and students can participate in programs at foreign universities. The collaboration with HCDC is highly appreciated and considered as one of the right steps to maximize the implementation of the program. “Through this collaboration, we hope that the implementation of international programs can be even better and provide benefits for each university,” he said.
It was further conveyed that currently Undiksha has collaborated with a number of foreign universities in ASEAN countries. This collaboration has been followed up with a number of programs, starting from student exchanges in the form of Field Work Practice (PKL) and School Field Practice (PLP) programs as well as lecturer exchanges. “We hope that programs like this and the like can be implemented together with HCDC,” he hoped.
Appreciation was also conveyed by the President of HCDC, Noelvic Deloria. According to him, Undiksha and HCDC have similarities, both in terms of vision, namely to become a superior university and the study programs offered. Therefore, cooperation, especially in the field of education and teaching, is considered appropriate to be carried out. In fact, this year he immediately opened himself up to the implementation of the PKL and PLP programs. In addition to the signing of the cooperation, this meeting was also combined with a public lecture with speakers Internsehip Coordinator, STE HCDC, Neil Bryan B.
